Time for the first overnight tour of the year! The temperatures were supposed to go up to almost 10° Celsius, so ideal conditions for a longer hike. I chose a tour I had my eyes on for a longer time since I noticed that the forest area I often hike around at Grünheide reaches up all the way to nature park Märkische Schweiz (where I hiked a few weeks ago). So the plan was to hike from train station Hangelsberg east of Berlin to Müncheberg station at Märkische Schweiz – ca. 30km.

I started in the late afternoon at train station Hangelsberg, as it was already beginning to get dark.
At the entrance of the forest a big harvester was cutting down trees. Look at this nice wood pattern.
The beautiful morning sky after a cold night. I got up early and packed everything up to get a timely start.
Moss. 🙌
More moss. ❤️
Its was a rainy morning.
Lovely colors.
The Maxsee at half distance. Until this point it was raining more or less the whole time.
But suddenly the sky really brightened up and the rest of the hike I walked in the nicest spring weather. ☀️

What blue skies.
Sun-flooded pine forest.
Lovely trail at nature park Märkische Schweiz.

Overall a great first overnight tour of the season. Nice trip for forest enthusiasts.
